After completing a BA(hons) in Visual Communication Animation at the University of Derby in 2009, Mair began a Masters in Design (MDes) degree alongside employment as a graphic designer and starting up her business.
In 2011 she completed her Masters and began running her business full time based on 3 years experience of working both as a freelance and employed designer, illustrator and animator.
Much of her work seeks to raise awareness for social and political causes ranging from the environment and animal welfare to community cohesion and education. Her interest in such issues has led her to work with many charitable and public sector organisations.
Mair has held on to her childhood interest in video games, comics, films, sci-fi, fantasy and anime and often draws on these for inspiration. Since 2008 Mair has attended anime conventions and offered an anime style portrait service to fellow fans. She has also created Photoshop digital painting tutorials for .PSD mag.
